Mission Statement
Standards of Excellence will serve the Body of Christ as a resource to enhance the education of Home Schooled children. We will provide Christian based courses, tutorials, and extra-curricular activities to support the Home Schooling community in Central Texas so that parents might provide a superior education experience for their children.

Education Philosophy

  1. Home School Education – We support the philosophy and activities of teaching children at home without supervision from a government agency or other “oversight” authority. We believe God is our authority, judge, and conscience!
  2. Christian Education – We offer instruction to express a God-centered world view and we are submitted to others in the Body of Christ that oversee our faithful service.
  3. Faith-Based Education – We openly and freely teach Christ Jesus as Lord. We publish a faith statement and speak freely about a Christian life.
  4. Parent Led Education – We strongly promote that parents are in charge of a child’s education; we defer to the parent and are guided by their decisions.
  5. Superior Education – We are a resource to parents who desire to develop a superior education plan by offering a variety of subjects, tutorials, and extra-curricular activates.
  6. Teacher Servants – We work for parents, not a school, district, or education program!
  7. Experienced Teachers – We utilize God given talents to teach in areas where parents do not have experience!
  8. Resource Model – We provide extended resources because we teach on a scale not available to individual Home Schooling families.
  9. Flexible Education – We can adjust a training style, content, or methodology to suit the needs of the child.
  10. Community Ministry – We are dedicated to serving the Home Schooling community and provide a safe, Christian environment where children can have social and peer interaction.

Methodology

  1. We will administer programs that meet the needs of parents and children who choose to Home School.
  2. We will select courseware and text that create a superior education experience.
  3. We will work diligently to provide meaningful instruction and learning experiences.
  4. We will invest in resources that promote an “economy of scale” in education and child development.
  5. We will develop future programs to expand the distinctive experience and serve the progressive needs of the Home Schooling community!

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe that the Bible is inerrant and the inspired word of God.
    (II Tim. 3:16; I Cor. 2:l3)
  2. We believe in one God, who expresses himself through a triune creation: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
    (Matt. 3:l6, l7; Matt. 28:l9; II Cor. l3:l4; Eph.2: l8)
  3. We believe in the Creation, Test and Fall of man, as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to Divine Righteousness.
    (Rom. 5:l2, 18)
  4. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, truly God and truly Man.
    (Luke 1:26-35; John l:l8; Isa. 7:l4;9:6)
  5. We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples.
    (I Cor. l5:l-8; Rom 4:25)
  6. We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven. His exaltation, and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the Church.
    (Jn. l4.2,3; I Thes 4:13-18)
  7. We believe in the Salvation of sinners by Grace through Repentance and Faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the Cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins.
    (Eph. 2:8,9; Heb. 9.l2, 22)
  8. We believe in Water Baptism by immersion in the Name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the Command of Christ.
    (Matt. 28:l9; Acts 2:34-36; 19:1-6)
  9. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the accompanying power which is promised in Acts1:8.
    (Acts 8:14-17)
  10. We believe in the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in
I Cor. 12-14, as manifested in the Early Church.
  11. We believe in the Spirit filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith. (Eph. 5:l8; II Cor. 6:l4; 7:1)
  12. We believe the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a Body of Believers who partake of the sacraments, who are under recognized, delegated authorities, and who assemble to worship, carry forth the Great Commission, and minister as the Holy Ghost leads.
    (Matt. l6:l8; 28:19.20; Acts 2:40-47; Eph 5:22-32)
  13. We believe in the healing of the body by Divine Power, or Divine Healing in its varied aspects as practiced by the Early Church.
    (Acts 4:30; Rom. 8:11; I Cor. l2:9)
  14. We believe in the Table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers.
    (I Cor 11:28-32)
  15. We believe in Eternal Life in heaven for the Believer (Jn 5.24; 3:16), and Eternal Punishment in hell of the unbeliever
    (Mk. 9:43-58; I Thes. l:9; Rev. 20:10-15)
  16. We believe in the reality and personality of Satan and the Eternal Judgment of Satan and his angels.
    (Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10-15)
